Hand wash the lids
The clip mechanism holds up longest away from repeated dishwasher heat — warm water and mild soap by hand is safest for all four.
Dry before you stack
Air-dry each container and lid fully before sealing for storage — trapped moisture is the main cause of lingering odour in steel.
Skip the steel wool
A soft sponge keeps the mirror finish intact; abrasive scrubbers dull the polish and create residue-trapping micro-scratches.
Spot-clean the pouch
Wipe the exterior fabric rather than soaking it — submerging the heatlon lining can flatten its insulating effect over time.
Fill hot, not boiling
